2009 Christmas Luncheon and Dance

Despite the inclement weather with the GTA’s first snow storm of the season, 120 retirees managed to attend the 2009 Christmas Luncheon and Dance. Teamsters Local 938 Vice President and Executive Assistant, Craig McInnes welcomed the attendees and thanked them for their continued support of their local union. “You represent the history of this local” he stated. “You created the strong foundation of this local and because of your dedication and hard work in the early years, we are now enjoying a strong and vibrant organization that has a very positive future for years to come.”

The event was a great success with a traditional turkey dinner served, plenty of draw and door prizes and superb Christmas music for the dance floor. During the afternoon, a cheque was presented to the Mississauga News as part of the Retirees Club “Toys for Tots” drive for distribution to needy children during the Christmas season.
