Local 938 Charity Fund Big Winner at Annual Golf Tourney

A full slate of golfers hit the links at the BraeBen Golf Club in Mississauga in August with proceeds of the tourney going towards support of members with special emergency needs and local charities.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Early in 2009,  meetings were held at Teamsters Local 938 to bring shop stewards up to speed on their important role within the union. Well attended and conducted by Teamsters Canada Director of Education, Brigitte Sottile, all stewards completed the course and were presented with certificates. Group 1 included members from Epic Express, Stock Transport, TST Overland, Allied Systems, Aerogard Eastern, First Student, Yellow, Walker Logistics and SGT 2000. The second group were stewards from Purolator from their Vaughan Depot, New Liskeard, North Bay, and PCL-SSM.
