Teamsters Local 938 President Craig McInness announced today that Teamsters across Canada have banded together to support the efforts in Haiti after the January 12th – 7.0 magnitude earthquake that devastated the small island.
“Due to the recent tragic event that have transpired in Haiti” he said, “and in recognition of the desperation of this country’s people, on behalf of all Teamster members, Teamsters Canada, Joint Councils, and Locals across the country have come together to donate $40,000 to the Canadian Red Cross in an effort to help ease some of the pain and suffering”.
President McInnes has also asked everyone who is able, to assist in any way that they can to contribute individually to this very worthy cause
